UN Resolution
In October, China and Russia vetoed a UN Resolution to help Syria because they said they wanted to help Bashar Al Assad set up a transition to democracy. On Thursday, two months later, Russia proposed a UN resolution on Syria, which was rejected by France, partly because it's unacceptable to put the syrian regime's repression on the same level as the syrian people's resistance. The Arab League may ask the Security Council to adopt their peace plan, which is to be considered on Wednesday if Syria has not decided to let observers in at that time (another delay !!!!).

"We estimate that the number of dead is way higher than the number given by the UN... because it is so hard to get the final number of casualties in Syria... mainly because there eare so many young men and women who have disappeard. Their families don't know where they are, wether they are arrested of dead... Sometimes they find those people in mass graves." Here is the documentary "Inside Story".
