Aleppo - Alep

The battle of Aleppo had already begun at this time, the main point of it being the Salahedin neighbourdhood, that the regime forces announced they were controling, but that was in fact controlled by the Free Syrian Army. Here's a picture taken on August 8th of one building in Aleppo.

New slogans : "The people want the excecution of the president" and "No school until the regime falls" Ali Farzat Ali Farzat is a famous syrian cartoonist who got kidnapped and badly beaten about a month ago. Beside other damage, his hands got broken, in order to prevent him from publishing more politicaly engaged drawings. Video of his work here , his website here (got hacked few hours ago). Military intervention Some people are again talking of a military intervention in Syria. It still isn't a good idea and would without any doubt turn badly.
