Le jeudi 28 avril, une annonce officielle du ministère de l'intérieur à été faite en Syrie selon laquelle toute manifestation qui n'avait pas été organisée suite à une autorisation du gouvernement était illégale ; jusque là toute demande d'autorisation à manifester s'est soldée par une ou plusieurs arrestations.
Le vendredi 29 avril, vendredi de la colère, les gens se sont soulevés dans les environs de Homs, à Baniyas, à Latakié, Idleb, Kameshli, Tall Kalakh, Kafar-Zetah et Al Kadam (dans le sud de Al Maidan, quartier de Damas) ; les gens ont été invités à sortir avec une rose. Les slogans des manifestans qui font face aux forces de sécurité dans la ville de Baniyas sont "Dieu, fais seulement qu'on aille au paradis". A Homs, le centre-ville a été bloqué par les forces de sécurité mais tous les quartiers des environs se sont soulevés ; on a appris la veille aux manifestants de Homs à diffuser leurs vidéos sur le net en direct depuis leurs téléphones portables, bien que cette diffusion soit par moment interrompue.
Le centre kurde pour les études et conseils juridiques demande à l'ONU d'initier un procès contre le gouvernement syrien.
Ce vendredi, les manifestants ont atteint un nombre record dont plusieurs dizaines de milliers à Homs ; la plupart de ces manifestants protestaient contre la situation à Daraa, et même la ville d'Alep s'est soulevée.
Certaines personnes ont tenté de s'approcher de la ville de Daraa afin de manifester, ils ont été repoussés par des tirs, voici la traduction d'un témoignage recueilli par Reuters : "Ils ont tiré sur les gens à la porte ouest de Daraa, dans les environs de Yadoda, à presque trois kilomètres du centre de la ville." Une autre personne, contactée par téléphone, a dit avoir vu des douzaines de personnes blessées se faire emmener en voiture par d'autres manifestants.
Les citoyens de Daraa ont pu mettre en ligne quelques vidéos et informations sur leur situation actuelle grâce au réseau jordanien qu'ils arrivent occasionnellement à capter. On compte huitante-trois corps dans la morgue de Daraa, la plupart conservés dans des camions réfrigérants, tous sauf dix ont été touchés à la tête ou à la poitrine ce qui laisse penser qu'ils ont été blessés par des snipers.
Le site The Syrian Days of Rage compte soixante-deux morts aujourd'hui, dont quarante-neuf ont été identifiés, mais cela toujours sans prendre en compte les disparus.

Thursday 28th April, the government declared that any demonstration that was not organised after an official authorization was illegal ; so far all the requests of this kind provoked an arrestation.
Friday 29th April, Friday of Anger, people rose up in the area of Homs, in Baniyas, Latakya, Idleb, Kameshli, Tall Kalakh, Kafar-Zetah and Al Kadam (South of Al Maidan, district of Damascus) ; people have been invited to take a rose with them. The slogans of the demonstrators that faced the security forces in Baniyas were "God, we just want to go to paradise". In Homs, the center of the city has been blocked by the security forces but all the disctricts in the area rose up ; the day before, the demonstrators were learned how to broadcast live their videos on the web from their mobile, but the broadcasting was sometimes interrupted.
The kurdish center for studies and legal advice asked the UNO to initiate a process against the syrian government.
This Friday, the protesters were more than ever, including tens of thousands ones in Homs ; most of them were protesting against the situation in Daraa, and even the city of Aleppo rose up.
Some demonstrators tried to go near Daraa to protest, they were driven back by the security forces by firing, here's a testimony got by Reuters : "They shot at people at the western gate of Deraa in the Yadoda area, almost three kilometers way from the center of the city." Another, contacted by phone, said he saw dozens who were injured being taken away by other protesters in their cars.
Daraa's citizens were able to put some videos and pieces of news about their current situation on the web, thanks to the jordan network that they sometimes were able to get. We counted eighty-three bodies in Daraa's morgue, most of them were found in refrigerator trucks, all but ten were shot at the head or the chest, what leads to think that they were shot by snipers.
The page of The Syrian Days of Rage counted sixty-two dead people this Friday, forty-nine were identified, but they still can't count the missing ones.
Tall Kalakh's situation : surrounded city, nobody can get in but people are authorized to go out.
