Despite what the medias say, this is not a civil war. This is the presidential clan slaughtering its people for no other reason than keeping the power and the money of the country. Keep that in mind.

Homs & Lavrov

Lavrov, Russian foreign minister, went to Damascus on Tuesday 7th February to meet Bashar Al-Assad and agree on a political arrangement to sort things out. On Wednesday 8th Frebruary in the evening, we heard that the Russian planes that went to the capital were full with weapons and that tanks were leaving Latakya Harbour, heading to Homs, probably going out ot Russian ships. Homs has been surrounded and slaughtered for days now, and the situation is unlikely to get any better. Russia not only vetoed any resolution to help Syrian people, but is now actively participating to the Syrian genocide. UN should now go past the veto, that is a hundred pourcent undemocratic, and react despite Russia's desagreement, or even suspend Russia's membership to the Security Council for helping Syria's dictatorship. If Russia can act without any global agreement, other countries have to finally make a desicion to stop the Syrian genocide.

Homs has been shelled for more than a week now, the army and security forces have even used helicopters to bomb homes. More here and here

Compte-rendu de la situation en Syrie ces derniers jours / Account of the situation in Syria these last days

Français : Les choses prennent de l'ampleur, plus un jour ne passe sans au moins un événement marquant en Syrie. Ceci n'est qu'un résumé car seul le site " The Syrian Revolution 2011 " arrive à suivre à l'aide de témoignages. Les 18 et 19 avril , plusieurs personnes ont été portées disparues, on devine que soit les forces de sécurité ont volé leurs cadavres pour fausser le nombre de morts soit elles ont enlevé les blessés pour dissuader les autres de continuer à manifester. Le mercredi 20 avril  en fin de journée, les écoliers et les universitaires de Daraa ont manifesté, utilisant le slogan : "Le peuple aimerait la chute du système politique !" L'état d'urgence a ce jour-là été levé et la Cour de Sûreté du gouvernement également, le droit à la manifestation pacifique a été accordé.  Le 21 avril,  des manifestations ont eu lieu à Banyas, Al Hassaki, Swaida, Alep, Kobani, Al Raqqa et Daraa, dont une manifestation spontanée des écoliers à
