New Constitution

The Syrian Regime recently voted a new constitution that gave more power to the president, allowing him to be elected two more times for seven year each. They also deleted the article that was giving its power to the Baath party, but created a lot of conditions to the creation of other parties. This new constitution gives Assad the possibility of doing whatever he wants, except for high treason, without getting in trouble (that means he can keep on slaughtering his own people legally). All the civil servants and government officials were forced to vote, the votations were held in public (which means the ones who did not vote for the president were known and probably got in trouble) and anyone could take his family's IDs and go vote for them. The constitution was allegedly agreed by 90% of the population, but here's an anonymous poll held online that tells exacly the opposite of what the regime says about the people's opinion on this new constitution.

"They killed my boy and left him in a ditch as if he meant nothing" : here
"If you are trying to find somewhere to vote, you will have to go past checkpoints. A good way to catch people they are after."

Israël

Israël asked the United States not to support the opposition by giving them weapons and to calm things down with Assad because it's "not time to let him go yet".
